 | Hard Landing in Canton, MaHere are a few photos of a HML-771 UH-1E, QK 417 which was forced to make a hard landing on a frozen lake in Canton, MA during the blizzard of 1978. The pilot in command was Lt. Col. Robert "MacAdo" McCarthy. CO of HML-771. In one of the photos you can see that a CH-47 from the Army had to be used to recover QK 417.
